We at YOUnique Events & Design have a sincere love for all things considered vintage. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines vintage as a period in which something was made or created.
Some wedding designers may say that vintage styled weddings are of the past, but I say that is a bit cliché. We continue to see brides wanting to encase elements of the vintage style within their wedding and reception décor.
A vintage wedding is full of timeless treasures that create an awe-inspiring landscape for your wedding day. My love of vintage is the ability to incorporate so many elements of the new and old within your design, many of these can even be found within your home or at least your grandmothers home. The beauty of the styled vintage theme is that no two pieces have to be exactly the same.
Consider incorporating these items into your wedding décor: burlap, mason jars, silver candlesticks, wooden round slices, twine, wild flowers, tea cups, tea pots, bird cages, ribbon, lace, pearls, miss-matched china, wooden wedding signs, chandeliers, and the list can go on.
Our October 1st wedding of Ms. Bailey Lapp & Mr. Kurt Hansen will be full of vintage décor and we can't wait to share the images with our clients, so stay tuned.
